PSP Video Res Question
Hey everyone hows it goin?
OKay, So I caved and got myself a PSP. It kicks a##. I have found out how to put my AMVs on to the memory card so I can watch them on the PSP. But my question is. . .
Does anyone have any suggestions on a compression meathod to get the length of a movie (lets say Cowboy Bebop) down to less than a gig as an AVI? I count on it losing a bit of quality, but. . .no worries as long as the size is 368x208.
ANY suggestions would be awsome.

First off, don't use anything that has MPEG/MPG in the name to convert to AVI, it doesn't work. Most people usually use the VOB -> AVS -> AVI method. Not only does it make it look better at smaller resolutions (because some of the original flaws might not show up), but when you wanna get it smaller than a gig, that's not that hard. I don't know the exact bitrate you wanna use, but make sure the PSP can handle the codec (DivX/XviD). I don't have a PSP, nor do I really want/need one, so I don't know the specifics on everything.

its funny, i myslef just put cowboy bebop the movie on my psp, 450mb, great quality! If u have the DVD, just rip it with dvd decrypter, and than convert the vob files to mp4 using 3gpConverter, you can select quality here from about 20 options. Than copy it on your psp video folder, and there you go!

hhaha lol, no dude, u just need your vob files and thats it, drag and drop them to 3gpConverter(you can download it free from www.gamespot.com , look in PSP articles and shit, its there) ANyway, just select the video quality, and than just drag and drop all vob files onto the converter, it automatically converts to mp4, but when you start the converter, from the list you gotta choose MP4(just checking), and there you go, oh, and the file size is small, at very high quality, 1gb vob file= about 100mb on mp4.
