Oh, most certainlysubjective. For the record, I liked this one too. I stated why I didn't love it.Moonlight Soldier wrote:Video's are subjective Kionon, and I liked this one. I was about 1:30 into it when I realize I was smiling.
And I criticise the difficulties in execution, not the creators themselves. I have seen few multi-source drama videos where I have felt the use of multiple anime was warranted by song or theme alone. In fact, I can't name one at this point. My take on drama videos is that story coherency is a must. That is subjctive, but so is the term "decent." Very rarely can a creator, in my opinion, do enough with source material and song alone to make a coherent, dramatic story out of more than one anime. And the situation just becomes worse at attmpts to bring in effects, original animation content, etc. Usually the results are disasterously comical. In very rare exceptions with certain successful crossover AMVs, this works. Best example I can think of is Tainted Donuts. Funny? Yes, to a degree, but mainly it is a coherent storyline, and that's what makes it good. I think, off hand, that Vlad has made a few serious cross over vids, and they are technically masterful.
Basically, don't do it Anakin, I have the high ground.
