Amen to that. Well, not realy but vegas can do alot of things I've seen people do with AE. Theirs also a plugin you can get to import vegas project files into AE, for fancy ass 3d work.
I just stick to Premiere and Photoshop for main stuff in my AMV's, then hop over to Vegas for final touches.
Ok thats just wierd. Why on earth would you use both premer AND vegas? stick with vegas unless your heavily into premier/photoshop integration.
Vegas just can't take audio syncing. No matter how great I try to time something in Vegas, it just doesn't feel right half the time. In my Bleach - Ageku vid, I started with Vegas, then got bored and went onto Adobe for the rest.

I wanted to do a heavy audio syncing part on the last quater of the AMV. Trying to do that in Vegas is as hard as sitting through an hour of Scooby Doo! By what I have heard with the syncing in After Effects, it's not too good. I think it would just be best to use Premiere first before anything else.

The biggest pull to editing in only After Effects is if you use a slow computer. After Effects is Open GL based, and the monitor won't lag as much as Premiere's will.

If that isn't a concern, then I really don't see the point in editing only in After Effects or doing it bit by bit in Premiere. Unless you don't want to export often, I'd say just edit a bit in After Effects and bring it into Premiere for starters. If you get the hang of After Effects, then soon you might try editing more and more in it until you reach... After Effectsdom.
