Howl's Moving Castle (U.S. Opening June 10)

Post by TaranT » Tue Jun 07, 2005 3:18 am

Opens limited this Friday. A list of theaters is here. I can't tell if it's a complete list. Maybe check Fandango to be sure.

These are all dubbed showings except at the Metro in Seattle. That one is subbed.

Official movie site (use the 4-color circle to navigate).

Yahoo has some clips from the movie posted here.

That sucks that it's only in certain theaters. I really wanted to see it on the big screen. :(

A few of my friends want to go and see it, but we're not sure... Think it'll be worth the ticket?

i took a trip a few months ago and saw steamboy in houston at River Oaks Theatre I think that was the only theater showing that anime film. Will it be showing there sometime again? I hope it shows somewhere in houston soon. I heard they would be releasing to more theaters next week. Ps. I live about an hour away from that theater I mentioned in Houston and they charge more then the crappy Starplex theater I have where I live.

It'sMiyazaki...just the visuals are worth seeing alone. =p I've always wished that I could see his films on the big screen, and when I saw the commercial for this movie a couple days ago I got really excited, because I didn't know it was a select theater thing. =/

I've seen it. It's worth it.

Fandango's a bust. It says "Showtimes are not yet available."

::mumblegrumble:: Stupid computer won't let me open that link...hopefully, my favorite theater will be showing it. They showed the Bebop movie when it was out, even if it was only for about a week. I read (and loved) the "Howl" book my Diana Wynne Jones, so hopefully the movie will do it justice.

The movie has a slightly different take on the story than Diana Wynne Jones, but it's still 'essentially the same story.
I'm waiting for it to come out here as well.

What exactly is the story between the movie and the book? And I also would've loved to have seen it on the big screen. *pout* But it does look thrilling. As my cousin had put it "This guy makes the FREAKIEST stuff."
