Post by The14thGOD » Mon Jun 06, 2005 3:29 pm

i am currently ripping my Kiddy Grade dvd's and im goin to store them on my computer, which compression should i store it under, i know i could do the avs script and kepe it as vob for 100% quality but i realy dotn watn to take up that much space. it seems xvid 4 is a popular pick...

i will be editing with the same footage, i just dont knwo when (have a few ideas of different videos, and now that its summer ill actually have time to work on em :o )

cuase ihave full screen footage, and so just so i know for later , when i make the project in premiere, what are the settings i should use...
640x480? and then have it set for 4:3 ?

hmm perhaps i should have said that i was going to keep the whole episode ... which then in turn makes it obvious that storing it in huffyuv larger than the vobs, and thereby making my statement of not using tha much space true....and the big statement that started this off...
*wiats for the first guide link, but wont go to it becuase that wont answer the question*
my bad on not saying that in the beginning...

so i ask what format is good for quality, doesnt have to be perfect 100% , and is say 200 ish mb...

sorry to be a pain =P

So don't convert them to HuffYUV. Don't convert at all, or use an MPEG-2 cutting tool like MPEG2Cut.
