Google web accelerator problems..

Post by Castor Troy » Tue May 24, 2005 10:30 pm

So I installed google web accelerator and I use firefox to browse. About 80% of the time I visit the forums, none of the threads are being highlighted as new and it's getting kind of annoying not knowing which ones are new and have new replies.

Sometimes it shows the threads being highlighted as new but most of time it doesn't. Is google web accelerator speeding up the forum loading by getting rid of the thread highlight thing?

Anyone else having this problem?

The google web accellerator works by going to all the links and caching them for you. I'm guessing the topics aren't highlighted as new because google has already visited the links for you.

Guess we should look into how to prevent it fron pre-fetching forum threads.
