The Pillows and Guitar Vader are my favorite Japanese bands so far, but of course I found out about them from their work in anime and video games. I've listened to stuff like Dir en Grey, X-Japan, and Pizzicato 5, but I don't enjoy them quite as much as the first two bands I mentioned. Besides that, I got a decent compilation CD called "Japan for Sale Vol. 3" of Japanese artists in different popular genres.

The Pillows have done a couple of great songs! ^.^

My first j-rock band was Dir en grey, but after hearing their music, my first j-music song I heard, was Hybrid Rainbow by The Pillows, and I still love it, and it makes me feel all nostalgic. :>~

That's awesome, I enjoy The Pillows as well, their music most of the time is either very soothing, or something to rock out to.

Dir en grey is one of my most favorite bands, and I'm really upset that I missed their concert in Berlin, I heard it was amazing.

I was to their concert, and it was in deed amazing ^_^

Kagerou were there to see them too (in the same frigging room as me, and I missed them! X_x), and at rock im park (where they were playing too) they watched them, and stage dived two times, tho the guards pulled them down and warned them. XD;;

first time I saw a Kageroup PV, I just knew they were Diru fans. o.o;
