Problem Hitting Beats

I'm referring to how far in Premiere lets you zoom.
The closest in resolution you can zoom to is one frame, and that's where I find myself most of the time, only zooming out more to move around in the timeline.
You know the control that lets you choose how much of the total timeline you see at once? It's in the lower left of the timline window in Premiere 6.5, not sure exactly where it is in PPro.

That is also the method I use for timming initially. Then when I watch it at full speed, if it seems a bit too late or too early, I use the buttons that advance it 1 frame at a time to adjust the cut forward or back, then play it back again, and repeat this process until its perfect.FurryCurry wrote:, scrub back and forth over the few frames that are before and after the actual hit to get a really good feel for where it lands, then, when you are right on it, back up one frame, and begin the cut there.
To do this scrubbing to find the beat, I'm always down at single frame resolution on the timeline. Anything else is too imprecise.
