When do you stop editing?

Post by Gallup » Mon May 09, 2005 7:02 pm

I am currently just finishing up creating my latest video and am having problems getting myself to stop tinkering with every little detail. I want it to look as good as possible, but i feel that playing with it too much would ruin it and I really don't want to go back and redue whole sections. Theirfore I wanted to know how you other AMV makers are able to pull yousrlf away and call your video done?

I stop when I feel good about the finished video.

There really isn't a set point where I'll call it quits. By the point I'm nearly finished, I've seen the video enough times to know what sticks out and could use tweaking. So, I continue to edit until there's no longer anything that bothers me - to release something I wasn't completely happy with just isn't something I'd do.

I call it quits when I've reached the point where I think I've sanitized things enough that there's a 50/50 chance it'll be allowed for a local upload.

I'll let you know when I stop tinkering with my videos when I actually stop tinkering with my videos.

Right now, I'm remastering/revising Urban Ragnarok. I first released it almost two years ago.
