I don't really see the usefulness of having the forum rules in foreign languages - if someone is not fluent enough to be able to read the rules, how are they going to be able to engage in discussion on the forum ?

As I long as I know some of the rules also apply to the Site itself, and there are some well-known editors who just post their vids without knowing english... Ex. Einhänder

Because unlike many web forums the point of the org isn't actually discussion, at least not in the general sense. I could easily see someone who isn't all that fluent in english still getting help from the video, audio, and hardware help forums and I already see quite a few people announcing their videos in english that's so broken that a 12 year olds AIM lingo is Shakespeare in comparison. Many non-english speakers can and do use the forums with very limited english comprehension so they should probably be given the rules in their own language so there's no misunderstandings there.

I see where you're going, just seems that if someone has a hard time understanding "signature size", phrases like "inverse telecine" and "temporal smoothing" would throw them for more of a loop.

But I suppose if it keeps folks out of trouble, there's not much harm in it.
