What music do you like to hear?

I'm mostly a listener of classic rock, '60s-'80s, but my other interests include stuff from a few recent rock bands, rap, some goth and even a little J-rock. Even with all of my interests, my problem is I just need to buy more music.

I like metal!! WOOO! 40 below summer, ill niño, MuDvAyNe, mushroomhead, american head charge, slipknot, taproot, flaw.. it goes on really...

It depends, I listen to alot of stuff. Basically whatever/whoever I think sounds good. I don't limit to styles, just more of what the song is like. I generally don't like sadder, calmer, or depressing music, which gets rid of alot of country I've heard, but that's about it (that doesn't mean I don't like country, I just don't go out of my way to listen to it..). I like most genres I've heard.

I guess if I had to narrow it down, I wouldn't know how to. (Main bands are Barenaked Ladies, The Pillows, The Guess Who, Weird Al, etc....)

I'm confused...

and I dont know what prog metal is because theres like 20 different classifications of metal alone... (ie: thrash metal, death metal, prog metal...) also I was more wondering if the prog stood for a longer word...
