I don't know if Vegas is frame accurate in VOB editing. If 'it seems pretty accurate' in Vegas and that is good enough for you, go for it- no gurantees though. I'd rather prefer working them through AVIsynth for better manipulation and insurance. Also, if MakeAVIs isn't working for you, why don't you use methods 1 or 3? I have mentioned this to you once before in another thread.
Yes you did. The program is even said to be very bugy, and I even mentioned it didn't work to you as well.
I am talking about Methods 1 and 3. ^^
lol, whoops... Actually the third method I think is good, but it's a method I wouldn't use over the AVS technique, cause it takes more time to do so, and waists more space on my computer. Plus the first option takes WAY to much space. I've played with those methods before, just not my cup of tea that's all. ^^

Vegas has scrubbing tools like premier. Check the help file for dietails on all 3 of them.

Editing a large number of VOB's is going to be a pain in the ass no matter what editor you use. I had 27 vob's loaded once (on my athlon 2600xp, 512ddr333, 120GB disk /w 8MB cache). It went so slow that if I made ne wrong move like trying to play it or do anything els while vegas was loaded with the vob's that it would crash. VOB's just east up to much system resourced to be a reasonable choice for source footage. Plus you'l get horrid interlacing when you export the vid. Just watch blue outline  . If you want to edit loosy footage its best to make a high quality (400-500MB per vob) progressive divx with a max keyframe seting of around 25-29 (depending on the vob's frame rate).

Vegas can be associated with AE through the use of this vegas EDL import plugin which lets vegas EDL project files be opened in AE.
