In order to give your con the <i>appearance</i> of legitimacy, perhaps you should consider buying a domain name and hosting, making the design not suck, etc.

That would be a cool idea, but unfortunatly this is only our first convention and we are only College students and therefore don't have alot of money that and if we ask our college for funding they will just give us webspace under the college's site, however, we are very serious about this and hope to get it running in October because we have limited time to do things such as raise fundraisers, sponsoring, etc.

We have volunteer's from my friend's genestarwind21122 Anime Club who have said they would be able to help with the convention.

We are planning to talk to the UMBC (University of Marylan, Baltimore Campus) Anime Club and get as much help as possible from them.

We have already have EB Games Sponsor us by holding the gaming Tournaments (Halo 2, and Tekken 5 are the only ones they're doing)

We are also going to be meeting with several local vendors (Game's Comics and Stuff for one) to see if they would like to set up a booth at the convention.

As you can see we are VERY serious about this and hope this goes off nice and smooth for our first convention.
