CHIBI PA, the Palm Beaches FIRST anime convention will be held November 5 and 6 at the Mariott hotel on Okechobee Blvd. in beautiful downtown West Palm Beach. Featuring a unique dealers' room complete with Japanese festival style events and a life-like Shinto shrine, this small party will also be a showcase of local anime clubs and their individual flavors with three anime showing rooms featuring anime classics, comedy, and the best of visual kai. Also featured on the patio will be a taiko drum performance by Fushu Daiko also seen at Morikami Museum and the Deerfield Beach Renaissance Festival. Anime Music Video Contest and Cosplay Contest Rules to be announced soon as well. All proceeds from this event will go to the Palm Beach County Library System to put Manga and Anime on their shelves for the local populations to enjoy.

No offense taken. We all think it sucks too. But you can't tell our head organizer that. We had the same guy who did the Sakura-con website do a virtual sakura-con clone (they gave us permission to borrow the layout) but Jason said it sucked and kept that one. Honestly I would much rather have Sakuracon's site...

Ah well. It's about the con not about the site. I just participate, I don't run it. Ya gotta talk to Jason about that.

I still have that site sitting on my home test server ready to go live

Pwolf did the CSS file for it

BTW 1 thing you can always do, is since your con has a 3 person exec board, you can always vote 2-1 against

Notice how your site is still only ready to go live. =/ If it were up to the rest of us, with some tweaking we would have preferred your site. However, Jason has very unique and different views and a very elitest (not that I spelled that right) personality and sometimes that makes him very, very hard to deal with. Hardworking in his own right yes but nonetheless difficult to work with.

In any case, we should have the AMV contest rules and submission info up soon. I'll post that here as well as in the appropriate folder ^_^

Due to the unprofessional handling of this event by their chairman I think it would be best if we all remove any support we havefor it.

Boycott attending and dont send your videos in

Wow, that makes Kunicon seem well-run. And that's impressive.

Yeah, it's a pity that Florida seems to have shit luck with cons as of late...
