Post by Tru_Blu » Wed Mar 23, 2005 4:13 pm

Hello.
I'm new on working on "Premiere 6.5". I just wanna know if this program can capture files, cutting them into clips, as "Windows Movie Maker" do.

Answer me plz :)

Go to file> import, or open. Then find the clip you wanta nd open it. No, it woent split the file up into little pieces. Ya do that yourself using the razor tool in the toolbar on the bottom left.

Or set In and Out points in the source monitor on the left, then drop the clips you mark off into the timeline.

Magix does this, but Magix divides the clips up by analyzing the source and looking for transitions, instead of by time. Makes editing a lot faster, since you spend a lot less time clipfinding.
