UC Berkeley Survey of AMV Creators and Fans
Please take my AMV survey!
My name is Ryan Shaw. I am a graduate student at UC Berkeley's School of Information Management & Systems, conducting a study of creative communities on the Internet.
As part of this research, I have created an online survey for AMV creators and fans. The purpose of this survey is to create a profile of the anime music video community, including the tools and processes used to view, share, and create AMVs. The survey is available at:
http://groups.sims.berkeley.edu/msmdx/s ... .php?sid=1
The information gathered will be used to inform the design of new tools for annotating, finding, sharing, and remixing video on the Internet.
More details about the project:
This is academic research, not commercial. I am not planning on building new editing tools, but would rather integrate with existing popular editing tools via plugins and the like. My design work is focused on tools for annotation of video content, multimedia search, and social networking and sharing. Anything I build will eventually be released under a BSD open-source license.
If you have any questions or concerns about the survey, please feel free to contact me at ryanshaw@sims.berkeley.edu.
Thanks!
Ryan Shaw
