X video ideas
I have a strong desire to do a music video with the TV show X and need some help. I have been working on a particular video idea but have decided to scrap it and wanted to know if anyone knew any songs that would work well with this anime. I don't have any preferences really but do not want any ideas that deal with rap. Also it would help if the song had not been used a million times. Please help.

Ideas Overboard!
Are you God? Cuz I've been looking for someone to ask for X TV suggestions for a long, long time. ^_^ Yes, this means I have quite a few. A number of them I'm thinking of doing myself (and one I'm even working on), but I'd still be glad to share them all. Also, I always check my ideas to see if they've been done before and when I checked, none of them had been (most hadn't been done at all, but none of them had been done for X.)
My only note about these suggestions is that most of them are more of a Subaru/Seishirou kind of thing, cuz those two are my two favorite anime characters of all time.
12 Stones - "Broken" - I do plan on doing this, but it won't be for a long time. Besides, I'm doing a multi-pairing thing to this.
Face to Face - "I Won't Lie Down" - a better song for a Subaru character profile...this to me is more of a "Subaru's kickass side" sort of video, about how he won't let himself be taken down. Sort of 'defiance' feeling to it.
Savage Garden - "Gunning Down Romance" - one of my top ten favorite songs of all time, it's a complete romance-angst piece. Perfect for poor angsty Subaru.
Orgy - "Blue Monday" - okay, so this one has been done a number of times, but not to X. The song speaks for itself, I think. Very dark, very bitter.
Killswitch Engage - "The End of Heartache" - I'm thinking of the version on the Resident Evil: Apocalypse soundtrack; there's a lot less screaming, and a lot more music. This one just feels right to me. Don't ask why.
HIM - "Join Me in Death" - hmm...there's more videos to this one than I thought there were when last I checked, but still none to X. *points to the song title* There's my explanation.
Silent Hill 4: The Room - "Room of Angel" - this is the one that I'm doing right now. It's a really weird song, but it's so dark and pretty and it fits the whole Subaru/Seishirou thing very well.
Tori Amos - "Gold Dust" - a strange song which has lyrics that I thought fit really well until I looked them up and realized I was mishearing half of them. It still fits, but not as well as I'd like. It's very dark, and the music consists solely of violins and piano, so it's a gorgeous piece, too.
Godsmack - "Straight Out of Line" - I can't take credit for this one sadly. This was a great idea from Yokou Seishirou that s/he gave up on (I think.) I'm not sure. If you want to do this one, you might want to ask YS first if s/he is doing it. I'm not even sure I should have suggested it, but it's a great idea.
Nickleback - "Someday" - dunno. When I first heard this song, Subaru/Seishirou just hit me like ton of bricks. The lyrics aren't perfect, but they give me the feeling of a video like that, you know?
Madonna - "The Power of Goodbye" - I like this song, but the lyrics are weird. However, they fit in my eyes for a broken romance video. I think I'll just leave you to draw your own conclusions on this one.
Nine Inch Nails - "Mr. Self Destruct" - just figured I'd throw this in. It's actually better for a Seishirou profile, but it would involve Subaru quite a bit, too. A truly messed up song...and I love it because of that. ^_^
Geez. That's a lot of ideas. How many times did I say "Subaru/Seishirou" in there? I must be a rabid fangirl or something. Either way, that's my two cents. Well, more like two dollars...
Anywho, hope this helps! Whatever you decide, do Subaru justice, okies? ^_~
As always, Farewell, Good Luck, and Happy AMV-ing!

Just one more
*cheers* Yay! A fellow Subaru and Seishirou fan!
Hey, I have one more song to add. I just heard it VERY recently, so I forgot to mention it, cuz I haven't come up with a specific video idea. However, the lyrics seem to fit very well for a Subaru/Seishirou video.
A Perfect Circle - "Passive"
Oh, and since you said you haven't heard most of the songs, I will tell you this. Many of them are rock (not really metal - they don't have screamyness), but a few of them are just pretty ballads, too, so there should be something for everyone. Except country. And rap. Not that I'm completely against either one; I'm just not a fan.
Well, I'm rambling. I'll keep checking in to see what you decide on, okies? ^_^

What do you people think about Switchfoot's song This Is My Life. I don't know exactly if I would be able to incorporate both Subaru and Seishiro (Is that right?), but I know that I could make it into a Subaru movie if I used some scenes from Tokyo Babylon for certain parts of the song. So what do you think?

Supportnessness
Hmm...I'm not familiar with that song (curse me and my lack of radio.) *goes to download an AMV with that song* (by the way, it's "This is YOUR Life")
To be honest, I think that this song is just starting to brush with 'done too much,' but it's still got 'fresh' possibilities - especially with X, which it has never been used with before. As for how well the song fits...the lyrics are a good match for a Subaru character profile. Of course, it would be very difficult to avoid showing Seishirou (and yes, it can be spelled 'Seishiro' - they do that to most 'ou' combinations in Japanese name when they bring them over to English manga), if only because he MAKES Subaru's story. It works vice versa, too - you can't really do a Seishirou profile without showing Subaru. Anyway, this song has lots of opportunity for cool beat-editing. The only real criticism I have is that the song sounds a little too happy for the story you're trying to tell. Other than that, I like the idea a lot, and I think it would make a great video. Also, I can see why you would want to use TB - in fact, I would suggest it. Because of the nature of the song, with its talk about the past and present, it would be very appropriate to use TB.
So, those are my thoughts. I personally like the idea, so you have my support.
