Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

This makes the "leveling mark" THAT MUCH harder to reach.

Sooooo many people can make amvs now cause they think "it's easy" and it could be "the in thing" in their minds.

One REALLY REALLY has to push the buttons with the audience in order to get a vid that just blows away the community here.

I have to hand my hat off to Koopiskeva for that one. Not only did Euphoria get worshipped due to Godly special fx usage, he used programs that people assumed where $900 but in fact was pocket change and he built a VERY STRONG emotional video that some people who saw nothing but flashies just won't see.

It's a video that not only utilizes good special effects but also builds something to get people attached to it. I'm sure there's a LOT of people who didn't know who or what Frou Frou is but Koop got people listening to them now. [including people who don't like that genre of music I'm guessing]

Thing is, I find it odd people say, "everyone listens to different things so no vid will get that much attention" when Euphoria owns all.

The idea of making it a parody is neat I suppose but, just cause people make more Lickin' Bark Z vids doesn't mean they're the most loved and opinionated. From the top 10% chart [yes I like using it so shoot me] those vids are all but non-existent.

I shot off my horn years ago claiming Odorikuruu Killer and frankly, I'm surprised that vid still got good reviews despite my big mouth.

Work at it, if you want attention, you earn it one of two ways [or both...]

1. Make a vid so shocking and so wondrous that anyone passing by is just awestruck when they see it. [which at almost all levels is nigh impossible unless you're Koop/Aokakesu Digital/Japanese] (the HARD way)

2. Do massive opinion exchanges. Sometimes, if you just give away opinions for free [ok, for me, more than sometimes] you find people opping your newest vid when you announce it. (the easier way)

Some people make vids just to get attention. I'll admit, I used to be one of them, but the fact is, I worked my ass off to get some respect and HELP PEOPLE along the way.

If it's all about me me me, nobody will care about you you you. So if you give opinions to other people, hey, you might be surprised.

Hope this helps.

I can do it with Linkin Park and DBZ.

When I'm not lazy. :P

I think Daio Kaji and LCX were right among almost everyone else.Your not the only great creator ignored on this site there are many who are so don't act like your all alone and the reason you made this video wasn't a good reason at all.

in all seriousness, it was meant as a joke, since before some guy said to make something that stood out in the description, which, judging from the numerous replies of egoes in this forum, did exactly that... thanks for the concern though, i think -.-

That's why you're not Koop.

i started off the exact same way
thought my video didn't suck but then i saw the videos they made here on the org and well... i concluded mine sucks.
so until i make a good AMV im never gonna upload anything here
i suggest you do the same,
make your way through the guides, learn to use the software you use until you are truly satisfied with your knowledge and always ask people to watch your vid and tell you what they think before you finish it and definatly before you upload it
Upload your video PLEAASE! After VCAs my avg. is unusually high, I NEED videos to EAT! THE WORLD NEEDS WANNABEES!!
