I had a good idea the other day while running (which means half of it got sweated out). It would require changing my video source from Brigadoon to Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. But I think the idea would A) fit the theme better and B) be more fun to edit. The idea is best expressed by the title, "How to Become a Onmyouji Without Really Trying."

I have no idea what you're thinking of there, but if you feel good about doing that - go for it. No sense in holding up interesting ideas as they crop up.
Meanwhile, I'm slowly starting to contemplate my eventual return to AMVing - and if this project suddenly gets close to completion, I will most certainly try finish my segment quickly so as not to hold it up. Otherwise, I'm thinking May or June is the likely time for my re-AMVfication

Yeah, I sent him a PM but it seems reasonable to assume he won't be contributing. Not a big worry, he didn't want that whole section anyway, so I haven't exactly been counting on it.
I will be doing a second round of recruiting next week, probably by PM to editors I respect who I think might be interested. On that note any new or updated betas would be useful if you've got something on the burner at the moment.
I realize this is still back burner for a lot of people (me included) at the moment, and that's cool. We're moving slowly but stedily forward and I'm excited to hear about some segments moving into production.
Toji: Sorry about your laptop. If you have to drop out I'll have Songbird pick up your slot, but hopefully we won't have to do that and your computer problems will work themselves out. Keep us posted.
Note about deadlines:
Right now it looks like the deadline will be sometime this summer when I have access to a computer powerful enough to compile everything. I'm going to start asking around now and see about a AWA showing, but as of yet I don't know if I will be able to arrange it.

Summer sounds good, especially since most people might actually have time to really pull together at that point.
Heck, I'll re-edit that segment if I have to (if, for instance, my project files somehow get corrupted), so no worries aside from the current time and technical constraints in my case. Actually, if anyone else here has seen Arjuna - may I appeal to you for help with finding more scenes to use in the "faster" sections?
