I loved both the OAV and the TV series. Miyu is lovely, cold, and graceful, and i LOVE the background between her and Llarva. Its worth buying, if anyones considering.

Vampire Princess Miyu is VERY good, but of course that would depend on what kinds on anime/manga you like. I think you should start out with the manga series first because I found the manga much more exciting then the TV series but the OAV isn't that bad, it's just short.
