Two Ideas/Suggestions
Hey
My first suggestion is to have a place in a person's profile, or even under their avatar in the forums that indicates their gender. I think it would be really nice to know if you're talking to a guy or a girl becuase sometimes, you just don't know. Personally I find this to be somewhat important, and I don't know about other people, but I talk differently to guys than I do to girls.
My second suggestion is to have a place, possibly in the forums or in the members menu on the site home page that links to a 'My AMV Buddies' list. This would be sort of like a AMV contact list. It would be nice if you could link to their profile from here or even send them a private message without going to the forums. I noticed that there is already a 'My Journal Buddies' thing, but lets face it, a) Not everyone keeps journals and b)Not everyone wants to read their buddies journals
Well that's it, Thanks ^_^

That's why you could chose between male, female, and undisclosed. Undisclosed being for those that do not want to reveal their gender for one reason or another. And if you lie, I'll know your just the opposite of what you chose! So ha!
Anyways, it would be nice to know about the truthful people out there.

While we're at it, let's add fields for age and GPS coordinates, so that we may alleviate all of the difficulties associated with activities such as, say, stalking. Both will put us on to the path for adoption of buzzword-infused future technologies, as both pieces of data will eventually will be automagically and dynamically obtained via the in-progress Illuminati-sponsored global RFID network, long-range RFID tag injection solutions, and advancements in nanotechnology and genetics.

You know, that is what the site profiles are for - you can write your complete genealogy and life story in there for all you like. In the forums, you can put anything you want about yourself in the Location and Signature fields. I don't think we need any more clutter.
As far as sending messages - there's forum PM's and emails for that. They're not that terrifically difficult to use, and usually don't involve more than a couple of clicks of the mouse

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Yeah, I agree. There's nothing worse than having a cool conversation with someone who knows more about computers and editing than you do then finding out it's just some damned broad. I live in fear that someday, because I don't realize their sex, I'll treat a female like a normal human being. The org has to do something about that and I think this would be an easy way to let us continue our sexist attitudes so we can keep our fragile male egos intact.lordroba wrote:Personally I find this to be somewhat important, and I don't know about other people, but I talk differently to guys than I do to girls.
Besides, it'll save me typing. Then I could just do A/L when trying to find some poor bimbo to cyber me. I'd save a whole two characters!

Since a majority of the members are males, I doubt that this is a good idea since the women will probably just go undisclosed. There really won't be any point to it.

Now, now, let's try not being too bitter here.
The suggestion is of a somewhat extraneous nature, but we've had worse...
***
But really... we could stick age on the list too... I mean, you don't know how often I've been mistaken for a 40+ year-old...
