I think you're trying to punish me for using Internet Explorer or something...it's making all the links go to file:///c:/FTPRoot/Upload/whatever.wav which of course doesn't exist on my hard drive...
EDIT: IE sucks.
Go back to your regular programming, I got the file.

Well I've started. And I pretty much know where I'll be putting everything, so now it's just a matter of actually making the video.
The next five weeks are going to be pretty hectic though. (Can anybody guess what's happening on March 12?) If I actually do find any time to edit, then I should be doing something else.
I was wondering though: what's the suggested amount of visual effects to use for this project?
________
Off topic: if anybody has a copy of the first Mission: Improbable and can transfer it to me, pm me please! The direct link on its video info page has been down for a long time. And does anybody know what happened to MI:2? I can't seem to find it in the database...

Good question, I'll get back to you guys on that soon.Jasper-Isis wrote:I was wondering though: what's the suggested amount of visual effects to use for this project?
Generally the segments should look as nice as possible but it might not be wise to have huge amounts of contrast between sections... I'll give it some thought.

I should be able to work on my segment soon. I'm about halfway done with my new AMV so it shouldn't be long.
PM me or IM me on aim. I'll put your beta on my server. (As long as it's not over 80mb)DrngdKreationz wrote:oh yeah, that last 10 second ragtime I got a beta ready but nowhere to upload it to

Personaly, effects would be fine long as they're not flashy or realy fancy ass.pen-pen2002 wrote:Good question, I'll get back to you guys on that soon.Jasper-Isis wrote:I was wondering though: what's the suggested amount of visual effects to use for this project?

I meant "effects" more as in something that makes your segment stand out. I think it is better to have a multi-editor project with unique individual segments than one with uniform segments that blend together. With the latter scenario, we'd have one really really long amv, but not a multi-editor project. "Effects," then, could be used at each editor's descretion to keep things fresh, to bring a bit of sparkle to every track.Kalium wrote:Effects? What effect? I used none....
Kalium: I think your use of stark cuts is enough to make your segment stand out. It's a short segment anyway, so any additional effects would've made it look overpackaged. I was wondering, though, if you could tweak the colors in the various different scenes to make them a little more consistent. Also, the ending is rather abrupt. Is there a more "majestic" shot of Ashram collapsing/wounded/dead that you might be able to use?
