This years Otakon AMV's [overused anime musings]

Post by genestarwind21122 » Wed Feb 02, 2005 7:47 am

Okay remember back in 2003 it was Kenshin this and Kenshin that back at the prescreenings and in 2004 the videos were Vampire Hunter D and Hellsing if I'm remembering this correctly. Those videos using those animes were popular during those years and now at Otakon are we going to see more Naruto videos trying to be entered for the 2005 contest. I mean nothings wrong with Naruto but it seems like there is to big of a fuse over it right now. I mean eventually when it comes out over her on DVD I might make Naruto video but I'll probably only use it once.

Well what do you think is going to be the popular anime for Otakon this year?

Naruto and FMA will be the popular submissions, but personally I don't care as long as this contest doesn't suck (unlike last year's). If what I'm hearing about the contests and the AMV Panel for Otakon are any indication, then Otakon's AMV scene is about thisclose from hitting bottom.

Y?

Oh, and in answer to the question.... there'll still be way too many Evangelion videos.

2004 also. And 2005 will be (just ask Ryan! )

2006 will be the year of the Otohiko. :P

Azumanga! Azumanga!

And if last year was any indication, there'll still be more than a fair share of Cowboy Bebop videos, most of which will contain a whole bunch of spoilerish Episode 26 footage.

I still have to finish that series someday.

There will be an Eva AMV and a Trigun AMV in the drama/serious part, and at least 2 various anime AMV in the comedy section. Action will be mostly Naruto and there will be a DBZ one. save Naruto, that's how it's been for Otakon the last 2 times i was there.
