W00t first post. I grew up in quebec so all the shows I watched were in french, but it was all animé surprisingly. I believe someone before this post mentioned the lost cites of gold which I think is a.k.a. "Les Mysterieues cites d'or" (translation: The mysterious cities of gold) which was one of my fav shows when I was a kid. I was also crazy about "Sherlock Holmes" [see avatar] (or Sherlock Hound as it seems to be in english) which started my mania for "Lupin III" since their style is almost identical. There was also "Belle et Sebastien" which was about this boy and his huge white dog as big as he is and "Remi" which was about this orphaned boy travelling around france looking for his parents. Captain Herlock or "Albator" in french was also one of my frequently watched shows, as was "Astroboy" and "Maya the bee". This was all before I was 5 years old, mind you. I then moved onto "Speed Racer" (Speed, you must win this race HA HA!) when I moved to the States to learn english and then around 1995 I started reading Dragonball manga in french which led to me watching the series later on. I dabled a bit in Sailor Moon and Pokémon in my pre-teens but it never really held my attention. Then Teletoon launched and they played movies like Ninja Scroll, Macross Plus, Wings of Honeamise, and Patlabor around midnight during Christmas time for maybe 2 years. I then discovered Neon Genesis Evangelion through a gorgeous winamp skin and then moved onto shows like Noir, Lain, FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Excel Saga, Escaflowne and others. Yeah this post is way too long and I doubt anyone will read it, but whatever. Thanks for reading.
