Anime or Music?
simple question here, would love to see how people reply.
When you come up with an idea for an AMV, which part do you think about first, the music like, "i want to use this song for an AMV" or the anime, "i should put this to a song", and when you develop the concept, if there's a concept, do you think more about the song or the anime?

For me, almost all of my concepts start with hearing the music/audio, and most the time the anime immediately comes to mind. For others, I look at what footage I have access to, and try to find something that I think would best fit it (this was the case with Guts, Prince of Denmark). After that, I generally try to think of the song and the anime equally, as to me they're equally important when making a video.

Usually for me, it's listening to a song in the car as I drive around and hearing one line that fits a scene of a show. Then I try to fit the rest of the lines. If not enough lines fit, scrap idea and continue with life.

Life's short.

Music, overwhelmingly, is the driving force behind my AMV's - and not just in the sense of the initial idea. The music determines about 90% of what I actually do in AMV's.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
