the genius believes that an edit button would helpful
the genius knows that this has been mentioned before, but the genius wishes to add his awe inspiring opinion as well. the genius knows that even he makes mistakes. therefore, the genius believes that an edit button would be one of the best things one can add to these forums.

Surely, the genius recognizes the benfits of added accountability that the absence of the edit button provides. Sure, it may be inconvenient for those who occasionally make mistakes, but the bottom line is that at a-m-v.org, your words stick around, and nobody (except certain mods or in certain fora) can claim that they never posted something that they had in fact posted by editing after the fact.
Yes, not having an edit button makes people look silly when they double-post. However, it also teaches people to use the "Preview" button to inspect and edit their words before submitting them for public consideration. It is a wiser and better society when people think before they speak, which is probably the aim of the moderators and administration in disabling the edit button.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

How about you stop bolding the word "genius" and have the mods lock this topic since there will never be an edit button except for the 3 forums it's in (heads up, multi-editor and amv contests I believe).
