French Board???
Hi !
I’m a french guy. As I noticed, you’ve got more than 300 000 registered members on this board. I think that most of them don’t come to the board, and register themselves only to download videos (we had the same problem on a site where I was staff with Mp3s).
But I also think some of them are french and wouldn’t come because they’re unable to write in English.
So I’d like to make a proposition : keep the automatic registration ; and create an alternative board in French, where french people could register themselve (and put somewhere on the board in English an Forum with a French Name and a link to the French Board.)
And a little precision : I'm not speaking of translating just the options of the board, but to create a complete copy of the board in French.
So I’d like to know if the administrator of this board could be interested by the idea, and such things.
Thanks for your attention.

An alternative might be to create a parallel forum on your own site for French-speaking AMVers, similar to what the German .org'ers got going with http://www.animemusikvideos.de.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

And let's not forget the French AMVdeFANS.com forum.

That would be possible if I had a site, which isn't the case : I'm living in French Polynesia and to register yourself on free domain names/hosting in french you need to have an adress in France.Kai Stromler wrote:An alternative might be to create a parallel forum on your own site for French-speaking AMVers, similar to what the German .org'ers got going with http://www.animemusikvideos.de.

I don't intend to do such crazy thing. I want to create a parrallel forum (and the others langages may do the same) for people who doesn't speak english.Gemberkoekje wrote:I think it's undoable - mainly this forum is english and creating 2 seperate fora isn't doeing the trick and translating 45682 forum topics (not counting the reply's!) is simply undoable...
If they have good suggestion about the site, in that case I'd translate them, but that would be the only case!

Hmm, am I the only one who recalls the proposed 'International help' forum recently?
I think it may be a good idea, if not completely relevant to this suggestion.
As far as separate french, or otherwise non-English forums - well, it may be viable, but again, only if there's 1) enough demand for it and 2) enough logistics and competent staff to run it.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
