My newest AMV is dedicated to Naruto's struggles in life, there are a few scenes with Gaara in them). It is the first AMV on this site to ever use the song "No Way Out" by Phil Collins to it! I hope you enjoy it!
No Way Out For Naruto (The first AMV to ever use this song!)

The concept here is good - Naruto's lonelyness & struggles match the song nicely.
I thought the sepia block sections made for good dramatic emphasis. The beginning also had good solid connections.
Later on, where the lyrics are:
"To look into your heart / to forgive me now / You've given me the strength to see / where my journey ends / You've given me the strength to carry on"
you use fighting scenes with Garra. Would not more appropriate scenes show a reflective side of Naruto and people that helped Naruto (Kaikashi, etc) ?
Your major issue is technical. You're using fansubs so the quality sucks. You also seem to be using DivX-branded footage, which just looks wrong.
The text scroll at the end was not necessary
You could have done a fade out on a dramatic shot.

i'm sorry, i should really dl and watch a video before commenting on it, but i just wanted to point out that originality in an AMV isn't just about using an anime and song from an artist that hasn't been used before, it's also about the video as a whole
and i know ur not saying this is original, but i guess that's how i interpreted it when you pointed out that this is 'the first AMV to ever use this song!'
sure the song and also the artist is original, but the video is still much like a LOT of videos already out, the concept is still naruto's lonely struggle so it's not that original in the end
and i apologize because i know that i'm probably coming off as a jerk because i wrote so much about a not-important point, but i had to get it off my chest and say that originality is in the video, not the components
