How do I Cut out the characters in After effects?

Export the frame from Premiere Pro as an uncompressed .BMP, then save the result from Photoshop as either another uncompressed .BMP or a .PSD file. Both should be lossless.

Doesn't have the polygonal lasso. but the pen tool is just as powerful.

I wished I had found the pen tool when I had my trial verison. I could of had some real fun if I had known how to mask anything besides circles and rectangles.
