Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

The evolved form of the "keys" weren't really needed for the video but it was all in fun and it didn't stick out like a sore thumb so it's all good. It was a good file size for a short video. However, short videos that have the potential of leaving people hanging wanting more is becoming my type style. I shall watch you closely. BWAH!
Thanks!

How's UIUC? :P
TaranT wrote:First impression: it didn't kick hard enough. On the other hand, high energy edits would have taken longer and the whole project might not have been as much fun. As it is, it looks great.
As you said, it was made to be a short fun project and not meant to be too precise. At the same time, to be honest, I'm not the type of editor to hit every beat and do a very fast synced video. I more prefer to sync to the words and go with the flow of the song. I've tried doing more precise action sync and it just seems weird to me : /.
ibanix wrote:As someone else said, it really does look like an intro. Not a bad thing!

Very enjoyable. The rapid people cut sequence toward the end was particularly cool. Keep it up!
Knowname wrote:very intro like... feel like I should be expecting an (japanime- since I can't understand the jpop) episode after that. Great job at finding the scenes that start and end RIGHT on the beat as I know not all of those scenes are in the exact order, just wanted to bring up that I noticed an inkling more than the average effort put into this! BEAUTIFULL footage too!
Nice more folks saying it feels like an intro. Yay! :) Thanks!

Heh, forget the keys - the editing was just too solid all by itself!

Excellent, concise, and has great feel without any need to complicate things with complex effects (save teh keys).

It actually felt a lot like an opening, and not just in terms of length. The editing style/visual flow reminded me of an anime opening sequence, and a well-edited one at that.

So, another awesome one. On a purely editing level, this is the best I've seen from you so far :)
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I really must stop replying to my own thread, but your opinion makes it so worth it :).

Wow, best thing I've done? I mean that's cool and all, but a bit surprising since it's the quickest video I've done ~15 hours (minus Iron Chef at Anime Central) with not much in the way of inspiration.

Regardless, thanks a lot and I'm glad you enjoyed it! 8-)

I never take time spent into account... I mean, it's nice that you wasted your time doing that  but, a genious thought only takes a moment... and maybe you've done it or something like it before! It just doesn't make sense to consider time spent (I mean, above the normal 8 hours) and notoriety (though it's good to go a little easier on the noobs than those that declare themselves masters or REVIEW THEIR OWN VIDEOS!!).
Contrary to popular beleif, Time =/= Effort, Sacrifice = Effort. To some ppl (like me, that has no life ;p) Time =/= Sacrifice though I can see where that beleif stems from (buisness). But anyway.

I like to reply to my threads until I've sufficiently SLAUGHTERED them :P
