Gene Starwind 21122's pimping solo year amv's

Post by genestarwind21122 » Fri Jan 07, 2005 6:06 pm

2004 was a year of solo projects for me. My productions gave me some advice here and there but weren't really apart of the videos. I have to say 2004 was a big improvement from 2003. I only made 5 videos, 1 of which is being remastered and isn't up for download, and took my time on them and I think that's what helped for the most part. Not rushing it. Going over and over again until I was satisfied. The 4 videos I have up for download are:

Everything is Gonna be Oh! Right - My first video I made after I got back from Basic Trainning and Tech School. First Oh! My Goddess Amv for me with DVD footage. Shrine was done just with the move in dvd footage.

Fighting For Your Love - This video was my second amv of the year and was an Otakon Finalist finishing 6th overall, and I from what I've heard Tied for 17th overall in the Best in Show. It has the most ops out of my vids this year with 75 and counting. Plus it has 515 Local downloads and growing. I have to say I am very pleased with this video. I know some things could have been done better, I'm not blind to not see that. This video took nearly 3 long weeks to finish.

Belldandy's Memories - It was for Mr. Oni's Challenge back in the beginning of '04. This video advanced more than Fighting For Your Love editing wise. This was the hardest video to do before the O.D.U.S.O.M.V. For it was the longest amv I ever made. It required everything that I could pull from Oh! My Goddess (OVA) and Ah! My Goddess the Movie, to make the video work. This video finished 5th at Anime Evolution.

The final video of '04

Over Dramatic Uber Sentimental Outlaw Star Music Video - This video is the most advanced video I have made. Editing wise I really think this was the most improvement for me. This video is the first one I did in Adobe all of my other videos were done in MGI Video Wave 4. As Senta I meet him at AUSA he just got chills thinking about working with that program. Anyway, this video I spent nearly 2 months of editing time. (4 months counting work and school etc.) This video didn't get a chance to enter a contest in '04 because I just finished it December 12th, 2004. So it will be making its contest debut this year at Ohayocon and Katsucon.

I hope everyone has enjoyed my amv's in 2004. I'm currently working on another video due out by the end of this month called Pain of War. Outlaw Productions and Starwind/Hawking Productions will be back together this year with more Productions AMV's. Remember Outlaw Productions "How wrong can we get?" and Starwind/Hawking Productions "We know our Drama"

Thankyou to everyone for supporting us for the past 2 years of amv's I look forward to making more this year and keeping people entertained.

I just got my dvd burner working. If anyone is interested in a complete dvd collection of my amv's pm me and I'll give you my mailing address so you can send me a DVD+R. And I'll burn it for you. The only thing I ask is in return if you haven't oped any of my videos. Just op maybe a few on the dvd in return if you want to.
