Alright Kilakion, I have a few things to say to you about all this. One, I'm so sick and tired of that "feeding the cash cow" phrase that I will be forced to electronically kick you in the balls SHAZAMMM!
Other than that, I can't even fathom why you say FF7 is milking the cow for all its worth. I mean, I'd understand if all the sequels used the same game mechanics as the original ff7, but the Vincent game is a shooter for God's sake. Are you saying that Prince of Persia or Starcraft aren't doing this cause they're american made games? I mean, Prince of Persia's been spitting out games since the late 80's, and Warcraft's had many many sequels, not all of which were strategy games (and not WoW, they had some game that I can't quite remember). All i'm getting at is that you've proven nothing. Final Fantasy is dwelling on RPG's, but that doesn't mean they are MILKING THE CASH COW or whatever the hell its called. Each game has its own unique battle system, with its own unique ways of customization, I mean I hated FFX, but God, it was so much different from the other games. They could've called it something completely different away from Final Fantasy and I would've probably still bought it.
Speaking of RPG's, You say that American games are SOOOO much better than Japanese games, fine lets say we cut out japanese games, what do we have left. Maybe a few actions games, a few fighters, and a barage or First Person shooters. I can't think of any RPG's being made in America (any that I'd wanna play anyway) and my favorite genre of games are RPG's. Don't get me wrong First Person shooters are lots of fun, but once you play them and beat them, that's that with me, I really have not want to go back and beat it again. RPG's on the other hand are like reading a book except its on tv (given the story is good). There is much more room in RPG's to bring in story elements, and I like that.
As for videogame footage on the site, I can understand some CG videos (i've made a few FF ones myself) but as for in game footage, I'd have to disagree. How would you like to see a video from a newb who forgot to hold the square button when getting footage of summons and limit breaks. You've got the annoying bar at the bottom blocking half the screen. Sounds like a winner video to me.....

Ground breaking? not even, this game was far more "evolutionary" rather than "revolutionary"Kilakion wrote:
Halo 2 didn't suck, the sequal was ground breaking on many communities, it proved that violent first person shooters are still loved by millions,
name one thing that halo 2 brought to the gaming world that had never been there before............
2 guns at the same time !!?!?!? lol
ok wow..........lets see, thats been around since what......Warcraft 2....nono....starcraft? yeah nothing new here, and let me tell you there are still 90 thousand people at anytime playing starcraft right now, and that game is like 6 years old.Kilakion wrote: it created one of the most profound online communities ever, if you check the stats onto how many people are playing Halo 2 online, they're is an average 90,000 people playing the game even as I type this, the stat tracking system for the online play is one of the best i've scene in my life, you can rank yourself and the gaming clan you're in against the world for christ sake, not many games alloy such online capability like that, in my perspective, that alone is revolutionary,
does it matter? this is how many american gaming companies get your moneyKilakion wrote:
I mean hell, did any of the Final Fantasy games come in a Metal Case or with a free DVD?![]()

Kilakion wrote: And what has more replayability, Final Fantasy 7 or Halo 2?![]()
*cough* Halo 2
However I will agree with you on this point, most first person shooters to offer more replayability. However that does not necessarily mean they are far greater games.
anyway, you wont be convicing me that Halo 2 is "the hot hot shiznet" or any of the liking. I am more of a computer gamer than a console gamer and the only games I play on consoles are those of the gamecube and PS2. I honestly think that the Xbox doesnt have enough decent games to where it would justify buying an Xbox. The only reason I might get it would either be for KOTOR2 or Fable.
