Please somebody help me! AMV issues!

Post by saphire036 » Mon Dec 27, 2004 11:32 am

Can somebody tell me what's going on? Okay, I entered my video September 13 but I didn't figure out how to successfully upload it until December 23. I got the premiere date changed but in the search engine it still comes up with the other September entries. Also, I got 24 hits in the first 24 hours then corrected the premiere date(from 9/13/04 to 12/23/04) after which I recieved no more hits. I saw on the video edit page that the date available still reads 9/13/04 but I can't change it. My e-mails to a-m-v.org haven't been answered in the past so I'm afraid that I'm royally screwed...Can ANYONEhelp me?

What exactly is the problem? Just no one wants to watch your video? Use the video announcements forum or the opinion exchange forum.

my amv issue

Post by saphire036 » Mon Dec 27, 2004 1:35 pm

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, is the reason for my video showing up as an older video due to the fact that I entered(not uploaded) the video in September and if so can I really do anything about it? When I find my video in the search engine it has the correct date next to the title but it's with old videos and therefore doesn't come up when people search for videos uploaded within the last 10 or 30 days. Maybe it's not a big deal but I was just thinking I could get more hits if it came up with the other new videos...

If you just uploaded it, your video should have appeared on the "new downloads" page. It wouldn't have been on the "new videos" page because it wasn't a new video entry. But I think more people look on the "new downloads" page anyway.

And the video won't be on the "new downloads" page anymore anyway. Videos only stay on that page for a day or two.

Okay, so that would explain why I got so many within the first 24 hours. It makes sense that after I got removed from that page I didn't receive lots of hits. I just didn't realize how that whole thing worked, I've always looked for videos through the "super search" so I didn't think of my video being on a "new downloads" page. Thanks for the explanation!! :D
