Anime's become life.

Post by Crzy_Tetsuo » Wed Dec 22, 2004 11:10 am

I've just realized something... I thought back to a couple years ago when I really didn't watch amv's and then I look at myself. This community has changed me, partially for the better, partially not. I've spent a LOT more time on my computer than I used to and a lot less time exercising, but at the same time, I've met many different people and have made some good friends. I kinda think though, what did I do before AMV's. I never really had that chance to do anything great. I was good at lots of sports like Basketball and tennis, but I didn't excel in anything. AMV's kinda give me that chance.

The reason for this topic is simply because I was wondering if anyone else has had this effect from AMV's.

Well, I know that due to anime fandom in general my social circle has expanded. I've met some really cool people here, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Yep, the friends alone are worth it. But aside from amvs... I really don't know what the hell I would be doing right now... I'd probly still be watching a ton of stupid shit on tv every day, letting my life wither away ;p

I'd be flipping burgers and stealing fries.

I'd be running model trains or restoring old bicycles or building another t-bucket in the living room or some other hobby. I can't stand doing nothing creative.

I would sleep.
I Don't sleep... Ever.

My life is pretty much like this at this moment -

Finished my Finals -
Working on my Amvs -
Working on my Cars -
Working on LandScaping -
Trying to afford buying a house -
Jobs -
Women

Seriously, I get like 1 or 2 hours of sleep everynight. I think it's gonna kill me one day, but untill that day. Bring it on :P.

If it weren't for amv's, I'd probably have a lot more money and would probably have more sleep.....

But I wouldn't have the friends or the satisfaction of actually accomplishing something in the few years i've been alive.

If it wasn't for AMVs I'd be working hard, educating myself, and in general improving my life. I would work for the benefit of all mankind. World peace would be my goal and I would have long settled the problems in Iraq and Israel. After I irrigated the deserts of the world then hunger would be a thing of the past. My tireless efforts would raise the poor of the world up to a Bill Gates like existance. My deeds would be immortalized for all time.

But sadly I got caught up making AMVs so instead I just spend my time in front of the computer ignoring everything and everyone I know. Truely, AMVs are the second worst thing to ever happen to me (marriage being the first).

OTOH, AMVs have lead me to this forum and without this forum I'd be stuck at work with no way to express my natural sarcasm without getting myself fired so there is a positive side to consider.
