As somebody fond of saying that my videos suck, I say that because I think it's true. I don't mean to whine, or expect people to agree or disagree. It's just how I see things at that point in time. And you know what? I love all my lame, sucky, slashtastic-OMG-THE-COOTIES, orphan-framed, cliched, badly timed videos with music that everybody hates. They're fun to make. I think I'm slowly improving. And even if I'm not, I still have fun. I don't expect people to love or hate anything I do; I'm just like "Hey, I made this to entertain myself; you can watch too if you want."

I'd much rather be up-front and honest with people and say "Okay, this isn't the best, but it's better than last time" rather than swinging my metaphorical dick around claiming to be the best editor EVAR. It's just not me.

And if somebody was making a crack at me back there, I actually have gone back to edit a lot of my older AMV descriptions to say that I still like them, flawed though they may be. I still watch nearly all my stuff, even the ones people hate the unholy hell out of, and I still look forward to making more.

At the same time, I know they're not the hottest shit ever, and I'm not afraid to say so. I'm okay with being mediocre. I'm less mediocre than I was when I started, and I'm still enjoying it.

So. Realist pride, yo. It's not always whining.

if i get a 1000 hits, maybe a total 200ish downloads with one video and has a 3.0 to 3.5 average star rating, then i think its a success on my standards. I'll proclaim some of the mistakes in the video, but never say its bad, rather claim i made a nice noobiating attempt to make a video for the other amv people

i mean i know some amv people who always say there stuff is bad, have people claim there stuff is bad on purpose, only to drive them to do better, or by other some ironic surcomstance or whatever.

the farthest i'd go, is claim i'm a newb, please check out my noobish video, wish me luck with my other vids and hope they're less noobily noobish, etc. but i'll never say my stuff is bad, for those who do say their own stuff is bad, well they be right, they maybe wrong, at least they made attempts to make something
