Non-anime videos

I was just wondering...why are there non-anime (i.e. lord of the rings) music videos on this site? The FAQ said that only anime videos are allowed. Also, I wanted to submit a non-anime video, so if I can...well it would be nice to know. thanks!

It's not allowed. but some people get away with it.

It is against the site rules.If you do cheat the system and find a way to put a non-anime video on the org, you can bet that sooner or later it will get deleted and you will be banned.

because these punks are uploading things faster than we can catch them;
- that's why!

The Rules here are not written to, "Play Parent -vs- High School Kid"
they are written so you can learn something that is not available anywhere
else on the Internet - the right way to encode AMV's.

Japanese Anime has a "standard" to which we wish all Animations would
comply with; but, that standard is not understood world-wide yet.

all we are asking people to do is Use Japanese Standards of Video's.

¿ why use these standards ?

Simple:
at 24 Frames Per Second, anyone can play your AMV - reguardless of what
country you live-in and pretty-much on any computer designed today.

With the Japanese Standards, if you make a mistake - we'll be able to spot-it
and help you learn how to correct that mistake.. This making corrections
is not possible with non-standardized media - its impossible!!

therefor, the Rules ( that are being ignored - for some reason ) do not allow
for Non-Anime to be loaded at this location.

All video standards are the same. THE SAME. Either NTSC or PAL. Or on the HDTV standards. Or....

The way anime is made has nothing to do with the rules. The fact that it's anime (meaning: animation produced in Japan) is why the rules are as they are. It doesn't get any simpler than that...

The Japanese television system uses NTSC. Same as the US. Unless you're on an AMIGA or doing work with TVs, computers are neutral to television standard.

Additionally, your misinformation has nothing to do with the original poster's question. If your misinformation was intended to be sarcasm, it was very poorly communicated.

Either learn how to comprehend a question, or don't talk and never post here again. You do more harm than help.
