Has anyone ever rediculed you/attempted to insult the fact that you make AMVs?

It'd never happened to me till today on portalofevil.com, someone found my geocities page somehow that has my videos listed and they said "You make anime music videos? How precious. So which characters do you beat off to most?" Well, being the fact that sarcasm is in my nature, I responded "oh the Naruto guys...they're THAT hot. Next to you of course." It didn't really bother me that he attempted to insult my hobby, but rather the stupid idea behind the post. Of course, it's portalofevil.com, so whats one to expect?

Anyway, yeah, anything similar ever happened to you?

Few people I know know that I make videos anyways, and when they do they're usually slightly interested.

So, can't say that's happened. Although I try to forget anyone that insults me for no reason.

Anyone who has ever "found out" was usually too drunk to care. The second my friends touch alcohol and they're near a computer, they demand to watch my videos (even if I'm not there).

I hate them so much.

Yeah it happend to me a few times, I made a video for my art lessons so some know I got that kinda hobby. They said "you´re always sitting in front of your pc and watch anime or put together stupid videos thats so pathetic"
My respond (translated): You don´t even know me, I do lots of other things and thats one of the things I like to do so, hey fuck you.

Ah, the beauty of upper-level management.

My employees have more sense than to laugh at my hobbies. To be fair, most of them also have their quirks too, from the animal activists to the hardcore Magic player to the REAL Japanofile. (Who submits his reports in Kanji for kicks.)

The guy sounds like a real jerk. People that have to actually TAKE the TIME to bash you for something you enjoy have very little going on in thier own lives, and are most likely 12 years old an under at that. I wouldn't let it bother you, but that kind of stuff usually gets to me, too.
