Your webmaster might want to add some fine print. Like, "Winner(s) is responsible for shipping costs, medical expenses, and all applicable taxes, federal, state, and local." Unless the con is going to pick all that up, too.

Anyone who wants the specs on the tv, I think this is it. Seems nice enough.

BTW, these tv's must be moved or shipped in a vertical position, as shown in ecamac01's picture.
oh man why am i still awake...lol

the TV is paid for, we wont charge anyone taxes...now, if your out of state we will work something out with whoever wins. if your outside of the country as well. we will make sure you get your prize. ^_^

It's not so much the sales tax, although someone out-of-state may still need to pay it (again). Prizes in general are considered income as many lottery winners have found out. That includes material items like winning a car in a raffle. Kunicon may be required to file paperwork with the IRS, too.

Don't want to rain on the parade, but I hope your convention people have covered their posterior components.

anything under 10k is not taxable, even if you carry it outside of the states. if for some strange reason there are issues, we will do whatever we can and should to remove the burden from the winner. dont worry about what happens if you win. worry about how to win. let us deal with getting it to you if your from galaxies unknown.

Looks like the update to the rules covers pretty much everything, thanks- it should be a lot less confusing for people now. :)

Unfortunately, like DW I'm probably not really going to have anything ready to send in that I think is good enough to merit registering and seriously competing (ASLGBV is out because of my own personal trolling rules, and BGC:SoF couldn't really compete very well outside of a Trailers category, IMO- and I don't want to pull stuff from even earlier). Oh, well. :P

Might have to see if I'm someplace convenient to watch the simulcast, though. Should be interesting.

I'm in! Just entered my 3 newest vids I have not shown them to any one yet so I hope they are good enough to get me a mention at least!!

**is dreaming of large screens** 8-)

I am also looking forward to the convention itself as it is the first real "convention" I have ever been too!!

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!

excellent! ^_^

i hope you all good luck. I will be overseeing the judging to keep it 100% blind, but we have a nice set of AMV's! We have 7 hours of AMV programming at the event.

3 hours of AMV EXPO's on friday
2 hour AMV contest
1 hour Tribute to the some of the best of AMV's - Hsien Lee, Brad De Moss, Kevin Caldwell
1 hour Tribute to some of the best newcomers - Koopiskeva, etc.

I think this will rock...I am dying to see the face of the winning Best of Show winner
