So you're the reverse case of what I'm trying to address. Since you changed your name to match the one you used to create vids.

What if you had signed you vids with Sousaphonist? Now, people would be hard pressed to find you again, especially if the vids you had made would turn up a lot of results when searching through anime / song, if the person could recognize them in the first place (although many creators incate this in the credits).

Corran has a good point, there IS a record, but I wouldnt call it very self evident, or very usable. With the amount the forums are "integrated" into the site, you might as well call them a different site altogether. Even a link that would bring you to the search page selecting that thread for searching would be fine. Something to point people in the right direction. But I think a DB that gave you double matchups and dates would be cool and fun. :D

This topic is pretty dry now, the idea's out there, maybe a mod / admin can post, but I imagine it will be shelved with the `wouldnt this be nice'.

Yep :-)

If someone wants to code a 'look up old usernames' tool, I don't have any objections to it. But personally I think the thread is sufficient for the number of changes there have been.
