CraktSmurf wrote:Enjoyed the vid, excellent timing especially with the use of effects, the vid is really fast and keeps the viewer interested for the whole lenght of it, but i have to say i prefer man of sorrows, i like the song more, i love the lyrical progression more and i prefer the anime even though this video is superior in the feilds of action, timing and effects. Just a matter of taste i guess :P
OMG You're alive  ! Where the hell have you been? Be on MSN these days...or else.

Well. You obviously put a whole lot of effort into the editing, but I didn't like a lot of it. I don't usually like strobe effects and such, and this was no exception. But the editing was good enough to watch the whole thing.

However, I know well enough just how hard it is to edit to one of BG's faster songs (couldn't finish a video with one). Speaking of which, did you use a lower quality version of the song or something? It could very well be these speakers, but the music tracks sounded quieter, and the bass (particularly drums) seems faded. The vocal tracks, on the other hand, were almost unaffected.

I'm firmly convinced, after watching this, that nobody will make a BG vid to match my love for the music (unless it's something like The Eldar, or something shorter). However, you've got my respect for trying to tackle it and at least impressing a good amount of people.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

Heh heh no. What I did was lower the volume on one of the stereo parts in order to make the watcher concentrate on the vocals instead of instruments. The instruments overpower the vocals in 90% of the song and that's why I did what I did. If I made the vid follow the instruments throughout the whole without lyrical and mood matching...well that'd suck. The decrease was only 5% and I'm surprised you noticed ^_^. The key in timing is to follow the parts of the song that are the loudest which in this case would've been blasphemic since the loudest are almost always the instruments. You might not approve my action, but as far as it goes it was a very successful move.

Hey BG is exceptional and their music can be liked or interpreted in many different ways. My favourite songs are mostly the faster and harder hitting ones, which is why I decided to use "Battlefield" in the first place. Oh, I have two more songs I'm gonna use and make it a whole different approach than this.

To be quite honest I don't see anyone making BG videos. Them being good is a whole new story. And you must make that vid you were talking about!

You might not like it, but then again you never really made an action video now have you? You won't understand my approach otherwise.

Thanks for the comments .

Just because I haven't finished a purely action video doesn't mean I've never attempted it. And even if I hadn't, it doesn't mean I couldn't understand it. And understanding it has nothing to do with liking it. It's as simple as that. I can appreciate it, but I don't really like it.

Yeah, obviously. What I was saying is that I probably won't be able to like a BG video because I don't think anyone can edit well enough to match the song for me. There are some songs I won't touch because I know I can't do it justice with any anime. Which doesn't really have anything to do with my editing skill.

I've only seen three others. This one has some really nice action with Punishment Divine, this one's not hosted anymore, and this one was edited alright but the story was bad. I don't think I'd be able to finish a BG vid.

Yes, they are. :( The second should be this one.

Very nicely edited. There were times when I didn't know what the hell you were timing but, meh. It was a cool video but nothing I'd watch over and over. Vejita's Attitude Show is still the best work I've seen from you even if it has it's problems. =/
