A first timers Naruto AMV

Post by The7thKeeper » Sat Nov 13, 2004 6:46 pm

Well I don't know what to say really, I just finished up my first ever AMV, showed it to a few friends who said I should put it up somewhere for people to view, so here I am. It's a Naruto AMV with Path by Apocalyptica as the song, the link to the file itself is here:

Well I hope it came out decent and that people can actually enjoy it ^.^

*Applauds* Excellent job and well done! I love the music you chose, in the end it had me asking for more, it was almost painful to see it end that way. Sadly though, I have never seen Naruto so I don't have any background information on the scenes presented in the video, would you care to elaborate on them for me? You did an excellent job of syncing video to time indexs for the special effects as well. Really my only two complaints are (the unavoidable) divx symbol in the corner, and the credits at the end. The credits were very nice, but they were also somewhat long. Im not sure what the size impact would be if you cut them down but, thats just my two cents. All in all great job! Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of your editing in the future : )

Thanks for your comments ^.^ I didn't actually think about the ending credits thing o.o() You're right, I could have made them a lot shorter. Would have made the file smaller to boot. Gotta remember that later on, perhaps I'll edit the little mistakes like that later (another guy on the forum said he'd teach me a few tricks like how to get rid of the DivX mark in the corner).

I'd love to tell you more about the scenes, but I'm the type that likes long explanations, so I better not type it here. If you're curious, feel free to pm me on AIM. ^.^

Great work man, awesome video. Liked it a lot, except for the Divx logo burned on the image (just disable it from the divx codec settings ;) ). If you fix that in your next vid, I bet it's gonna be a fantastic one like this.

the climaxs weren't that bad
the beginning was good with the dust being blown everywhere cause of the heated battle between lee and gaara
the whole, hinata getting slammed in the chest by Neji
and then, kakashi stabbing haku with the chidori
then, sasuke launching at gaara with the chidori

aside from choosing good scenes for climaxs though, i didn't find much that i liked about the video except the awesome song of course

i think if you would have focused on less scenes and built them up more instead of having such a variety of scenes with less buildup, the impact of the music would have been better

for example, in the video, you see how haku dies and then you see zabuza fighting afterwards, but in the video, it seems like he's going after kakashi and you don't even show how zabuza got into his injured state he was in when he was laying next to haku

lee vs gaara... not much to build up there, but a good chance to get sum major action sync going with the rapid movement, you got some, but more would have been better since there was little to no story to help build that fight up, it was just there to establish that both genin's abilities are bad-ass, mainly gaara's in the face of such strength that lee showed

naruto smashing haku in the face at the end seemed just there as a spoiler... my honest opinion, you had already shown haku dead beforehand anyway.... but linear storytelling isn't a requirement, so that's not the reason i didn't like it, just didn't think it had to be there and it was sorta a big moment
If you're reading this, you've gone too far...PREPARE FOR RETRIBUTION!!
Don't judge an AMV by it's anime.. u nooB ;D
