Winamp.

Post by fatandpowerful1 » Mon Nov 08, 2004 11:43 pm

Well, since this IS the general video section,I just thought I would ask if anyone has Winamp and if so,how they like it.
I like it cuz I'm 14,ain't got a job, therefore,I can't make money to buy a little anime here and there. It's also where I discovered Onegai Teacher, one of the nest anime ever made! (In my opinion). :D
I can claim the title as being the first person on a-m-v.org to submit an AMV with the artist KJ-52 on it. Yay. Hahaha.
Where my jello? I need it to go with my Cola, Rice, Puddin, Steak, macoroni, apple, peanut butter, plastic, baking soda, and cheese sandwhich!

I love Winamp for it's media library. If not for that I would use media player classic exclusively.

I think it's a good, easy-solution program for anyone; I've used it a lot, though almost never for video, but these days I found that I no longer need it. I have the much-simpler and less-memory-consuming Foobar2000 for audio, and I've been using Mplayer2 for video forever (with WMC as backup for stuff that doesn't work in MP2, which doesn't happen often).
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Meh, Winamp is easy to use and is great to install at uni (grumbles about restricted access), I perfer JetAudio though, its more custimisable (sound wise) and it can play every video file (inc RM)

It's my best program. Always effective and never fails me.

Ever.

But I must convert MOVs before they are actualy useable.

I never did get used to the Winamp interface. I always found WMP's to be much easier to handle, plus I like how it manages playlists and keeps track of play counts.

WMP9 for my audio needs (unless I'm just playing one file out of my Downloads folder or something like that, in which case I use WMP6.4 instead), WMP6.4 for video.

Well since nobodys used this thread for awhile now, I guess the mods can lock this. UNLESS others wanna keep talkin' about winamp, jetaudio, or any other video player.

Winamp is a great media player. Search makes it easy to find songs in a jumbled playlist, hehe

Manages >4000 items very well.

I use MPC for vids, otherwise.
