Anime Audio
Im sure this question has been answered a million times already but i don't know where to look and I want the audio from the anime I'm using in my next AMV. Can someone tell me how I take the audio from my decrypted DVDs so I can use them in WMM. Any knowledge would help. Thanks.

As long as you didn't exclude the audio streams when ripping your vobs you can extract them from the vobs via DVD2AVI (or DGIndex if you are using that instead.)
Under the audio menu, choose an output method and then select a track number to use. Typically for anime, tracks 1 and 2 are the english and japanese tracks.

I must not have ripped the audio files cause I select track 1 but I don't hear any sound when im playing the .avi file in VirtualDubMod. How do I know what files to rip so I know I got the audio files or how do I know the audio files are being saved with the video? Also would I need to type anything special in the .avi file since there is audio in it?
I'm using DGIndex if that helps at all.
P.S. I'm still pretty new to the whole AMV universe so if I say or ask retarded stuff, bare with me.

How am I supposed to save the file then? I usually saved it by pressing F4. Should I be saving it by choosing Save BMP under File? Also the output method that's normally on is Demux all tracks.
Can you give me some more specific info, such as what you do, so I know exactly what to chose.
Thanks for all the help your giving me. Hopefully I can start making some better AMVs if I can start using the audio from the anime.

You should be selecting "Save Project".
If you've selected a valid audio track in the Audio options, then when you save the project, it'll also create an .AC3, .MPA, or .WAV file named similarly to the project file and in the same directory. In the filename will also be some information about channels, sample rate, and stuff like that.
(If you always want .WAVs, then the Dolby Digital option should be set to "Decode" rather than "Demux". MPEG Audio doesn't have a Decode option, but .MPA can be easily converted to .WAV in something else (like Audacity) if you need it to be.)

Okay. I finally got the audio file out of it. Along with the .avi file, a .ac3 file came with it. Does the T01 3_2ch 448kbps after the AC3 mean anything? Also since I now have an audio file, is there anything new I need to do with it all, or do I just go about as normal with the .avi file and just import the audio file into WMM when I'm ready to use it?
