I think they only got rid of the DVD for the newstand editions. Subscribers still got their DVDs. But now they're bringing back the discs at a higher newstand price. This was posted on AnimeNewsNetwork recently.

Seriously what is this magazine... I lived in iowa for a long time so we never got anything cool there... ever. I live in the city now and can find cool stuff I had been missing out on in the podunk. I take it is some kind of anime magazine? what do they write about? is it any good?

It's A.D. Vision's anime magazine (not to be confused with <i>Animerica</i> magazine, which is Viz's).

Not ever having read either, I couldn't say much about it.
(Except that A.D. Vision likes to advertise the magazine on their DVD bumpers. It's quite annoying.)

Eh, I prefere Animerica. They don't give out free DVDs, but at least they'll give a bad rating to an anime that deserves it and they don't advertise as much.
