Needing some help with first "Anime" AMV
Okay, I've been reading though the guide on the page for working with DVD footage, but I'm having a lot of problems with avisynth. Basically, I can't figure out for the life of me what I'm doing. I've done exactly as the guide says with my Nadesico disc up to the point of avisynth, but can't get it working. Is there any sort of GUI alternative that does the same thing?

I'm trying to actually get the footage (done with dvd decrypter and dvd2avi) and clean it up for to use as clips for a vid--get rid of interlacing and such. I've been using the DVD footage guide on site, but I'm at the Avisynth part of it and can't figure that part out. I'm asking if there's any GUI based programs that will do the same as avisynth.

Ok, first off....this is the wrong forum for this thread. And am sure it will get moved.
SECOND.....there is a great guide that is in PDF format, tht will tell you all the different programs, plugins, and what you need to write in your AVISynth documents.....and it is called
VicBond007'sw Guide to working with DVD Footage.
here is link
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... th_dvd.pdf
hoep that helps.

De-interlacing a video is a rather simple affair. Open Virtual Dub Select video > filters> add>de-interlace>Ok>OK>. Once you have done that the de-interlace filter has been activated. Simply select your method of compression and Save as AVI.BrennaCeDria wrote:I'm trying to actually get the footage (done with dvd decrypter and dvd2avi) and clean it up for to use as clips for a vid--get rid of interlacing and such. Re: Needing some help with first "Anime" AMV
actualy...i did read that...and if you read ALL the guides, you would see that a lot of them have "pages on working with DVD footage" in them. So i gave you one that i used, and I would also like to point you to ErMaC and AD's guide, because that has a good AVISynth walkthrough in it. Thats how i figured out how to use it. But your going to tell me that you read all the guides....and they were no help.BrennaCeDria wrote:Okay, I've been reading though the guide on the page for working with DVD footage, but I'm having a lot of problems with avisynth.
Look....all i am saying is that if you read the guides, you would see that not only do they tell you how to use avisynth....but they also give EXAMPLES(gasp) of what your script should look like.

And as I've said, I've done exactly as the guide says! If anyone wants to offer real* help, I'm on AIM almost constantly under the name Milady Bressnia; I've got a screencap of the error I'm getting from Virtual Dub with my .avs and also the script itself that I can show you, maybe someone will see what I've done wrong. Or, I could post it here. And yes, I've checked to make sure I've got my file paths right.Wong wrote:but they also give EXAMPLES(gasp) of what your script should look like.
