RahXephon vs Evangelion Unit 01

Who did you reckon would win in a battle between Ayato in his RahXephon and Shinji in his Unit 01 (after it has taken in the S2 Engine)?

I believe this would be an interesting battle. Taking in the fact that if the Eva has the S2 engine it won't require that cable to maintain power anymore.

The Eva's weaponry is limited, but it still has the AT field to protect it.

But on the other hand the RahXephon does have the ability to fly and a AT field can be penetrated by a large engry blast which could mean all the RahXephon has to do is fire a arrow at the Eva and hope for the best. Also the RahXephon does produce it's own shield, weather it's as strongs as a AT field i don't know.

Weapons, Shields and flight aside on the ground i would say they would have about the same speed, but in hand to hand combat i'm not sure who would win there!

Anyway who do you think would win and why?

I’ve never really seen the appeal of these types of post. My reason;

Both units can in some ways be considered invincible in there own perspective universes. Bringing them together in the same battlefield doesn’t remove that fact. Having them face off would more than likely create an endless battle of some sort were neither gets the upper hand. If they simply cant over power the other they would pull some crazy tactic out of nowhere and live to fight another day. Taking in technical issues of either unit into account doesn’t help the matter any. It’s always down to whom you like best. If you believe unit 1 to be the ultimate king of death and destruction he will win, for whatever reason you might come up with at the time. If it’s a good match and they are even then its up entirely to a person’s opinion, otherwise the answer is obvious and none need argue about it. Hence the total lack of reason for starting such a topic.

This is of course my personal opinion and is not meant to offend anyone or kill a thread that might have some potential for worthwhile discussing of any sort. But personally, batman always wins.
