Because I can...

1.23mb
Xvid - 1500kbps

Still working on that bloody kissing scene, although it's looking a lot better. Oh in case anyone is wondering I'm working on that "Lovers Or Friends" CCS AMV that I started like...well a year or so ago, but now I'm SERIOUSLY working on it. ^_^

Part deux:

412kb
Xvid - 1500kbps

I'm going to do a lot of traditional live action type effects that you don't really see in AMVs very much, like telephoto focusing, where there's something in the foreground that's in focus and the background is out of focus and then it switches so that the background becomes in focus and the background goes out of focus. I'm also working on this neat trick where you take two characters who are basically sharing the same movement, like a simple head turn, then you fade the action of the one clip into the action of the second clip.

Um, hello, I didn't put this thread here, it was originally in the general AMV group and I put it there cause of the parts where I talked about editing techniques.

Get a better system...or update whatever outdated XviD decoder you're using. *shrugs*

. The Windows Systems are not at fault ( ME -nor XP ) - the Xvid CODEC is not encoding your video correctly 8-)

. ATI Video Cards have a Standard to which we both are compliing with.
( we both are using the same companies technology. )

. The problem here is the CODEC you are using ( or you got a bad DirectX-9 )

. I've seen this problem before on a few FanSub's and it is not our Windows!

- trust me on this!
. Windows ME can encode and decode Videos the same as XP.

Works fine on my system, my brother's system, my sister in law's laptop, etc, etc, etc...and the XviD codecs installed on the three systems are all different, two are from K-lite codec packs and the other was a direct download of the codec alone off teh XviD site. And the DirectX versions are all different, teh lap top is still only using DirectX 8 and the other two have DirectX 9, installed off the DirectX website via the web.

Furthermore I never have ANY problems viewing ANY piece of video encoded in ANY format, with ANY codec on ANY player (WMP9, WMPClassic, Xoom, BSPlayer, etc, etc)

So since I don't seem to ever have ANY problems and you not only have problems with my clips, but with others too, well that seems to indicate that the problem is in on your end, not mine.
