Problems with local download (plugin needed?)

Post by Solo Kazuki » Tue Oct 12, 2004 6:32 pm

When i try to download any of local videos after passing pledge page etc. i'm on page with file info and text "The download should have automatically started by now. If it did not, click here.". And there's no difference if i choose this option, or i'll wait for begin download, i have message
"No plugin for the URL was found".
What kind of plugin i must have (and where to find it?). I only add info that i don't have Windows nor Internet Explorer.

Well... i'm using (by now) very exotic (nowdays) and archaic (for some people) OS... AmigaOS. My browser is IBrowse.

O_o

Wow, perhaps that explains a thing or two. I wonder if anyone around here is even familiar with that.

I would assume this to be a browser issue. Maybe something to do with php. Are there any other browsers you might have access to?

Well, PHP is all serverside, so that wouldn't be it. It still might be a browser issue, though.

I see. Is there any other kind of odd scripting that might be used here? I mean, this is supposed to be just a download link

Well... i don't have any problems with not local (direct or indirect) links.

PHP is supported by IBrowse. There should be some problems with java or flash, but not with "clean" (S)HTML/CGI/PHP scripts.

There MUST be some "odd" scpripting. To tell the truth i browse i-net with my browser for a long time (well... not THAT long... 3 or so years), and i first time saw this kind of problems. Sometimes (but not too often, for luck) when page have complex java or flash scripts, i can see texts like "you browser doesn't support this command" or so, but not something about plugins.

Yes, there are other browsers, but i don't think this will help.
