Anyone seen Gunbuster 2 OVA?

It is not a sequel to Gunbuster so much as a OVA set in the same universe.

The Director is Tsurumaki Kazuya, who directed KareKano, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and FLCL.

IMHO the OVA's are heavily influenced by FLCL and have a similar comedy feel to it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this and highly recommend it.

Yes it is only out on fansubs now but keep your ears open, I think this is gonna be a hit.

I've just finished the first episode. Anyone who's a fan of FLCL will definetely love this since the series reminded me of FLCL from the backgrounds to the action sequences. And Nono looks SO cute! :oops: 8-)

Um... if I remember correctly, <i>Hideaki Anno</i> directed NGE and Kare Kano (until he quit), and Tsurumaki was his assistant director. But yeah, he did direct FLCL (and provide a quite helpful commentary track).
