quick banner question

i have yet to see anything pop up in the new(), worthy(), or unworthy()...
i am assuming these are the options in which i get to vote on other peoples banners...

i guess what i am looking for is a full explanation about the banners, how they get voted on (answered earlier...thx), how do i, if i, get to vote for banners, is there a way to view other peoples banners so you don't repeat someone's idea (as w/ searching amv's for similar ideas before actually starting it), and so on with all the regular questions that come up...

is there a guide i'm missing or is there a sticky thread, i mean come on, there is one for avatars...why not banners?

just point me in the right direction...?

New is where banners go when:
- they've been approved for voting
- they haven't yet collected 150 total votes
- you haven't voted on them yet

Every new banner you designate as worthy goes in the "My Worthy" group, and every new banner you designate as unworthy goes in the "My Unworthy" group. Banners that get more than 90 "worthy" votes become Winners (and are removed from the other groups) when they've collected 150 total votes. Banners that don't, well... unless you saved their URLs somewhere (or (now that we've got the "My Banners" page) you were the one who submitted them), good luck ever finding them again.

Usually, banners get put up for voting in large batches, probably because the admins approve large batches for voting all at once. There were about 34 new banners this weekend, IIRC, all of which have since been voted on. Only one won.
